MCE Calls for Executive Committee Meeting


Various heads of departments and units, secretaries to all mandated sub-committees, elected assembly members, and other senior officials within the municipality attended the meeting. The secretaries, along with their chairpersons from the Development Planning, Social Services, Works, Transport, Finance and Administration, and Justice and Security sub-committees, presented reports of their meetings. These reports were discussed and recommendations were made for submission to the General Assembly meeting for approval and acceptance.
Some of the reports noted issues such as:
- The Assembly Bye-Laws
- Development of the municipality’s possible tourist sites
- Allocation and Renewal of the market stores
- The operation of the water facilities.
- Revenue generation and collection from substructures.
The meeting focused on addressing urgent issues, reviewing policies, planning development projects, and enlisting strategies to ensure the smooth functioning of the municipal administration.
