ESMA Holds Its 1st General Assembly Meeting in 24”

The Ejura Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly held its first general assembly meeting for 2024 on Thursday, August 15, 2024. The session, which took place at the Municipal Assembly Conference Hall, provided a platform to highlight key achievements from the past year, review ongoing projects, address crucial matters on the agenda, demonstrate the Assembly’s commitment to efficient governance and community development, and plan future initiatives.

Presided over by Hon. Nana Appiagyei Frank, the meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including assembly members, heads of departments and units, staff of the assembly, and civil society organizations. Hon. Nana Appiagyei Frank’s opening remarks set the tone for the meeting. Following this, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) delivered remarks, emphasizing the municipality’s goals and priorities.

The meeting continued with the reading and acceptance of the previous minutes, a customary practice to maintain accurate records and ensure continuity in decision-making. Matters arising from these minutes were then discussed, allowing members to address pertinent issues and track progress on previous resolutions.

A key highlight of the Assembly was the presentation and discussion of the sessional address by the MCE, Hon. Dr. Kingsley Osei. This address provided a comprehensive overview of the municipality’s achievements, challenges, and strategic initiatives, fostering engagement and collaboration among stakeholders.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks by the Honorable Presiding Member, summarizing key takeaways and reaffirming the Assembly’s dedication to effective governance and community service. He also emphasized the Assembly’s concerted efforts to advance the municipality’s interests and improve the quality of life for its residents, highlighting its readiness to tackle challenges, seize opportunities, and achieve its vision for a prosperous and resilient community.
