ESMA Provides Financial Support To LEAP And LIPW Beneficiaries.


The project aims to boost income and productivity for the poor through micro enterprises, agriculture training and financial assistance for business startups.
Beneficiaries of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) and Labour-Intensive Public Works (LIPW) within five communities: Nyamebekyere, Adiembra, Frante, Sekyedumase and Anyinasu were targeted for this project. They were trained on Beekeeping, Cassava Processing, Groundnut Processing, Weanimix (Tom Brown), Rice Parboiling and Soap Making.
May 24th, 2024 saw the disbursement of grants to 194 beneficiaries at the Assembly forecourt. The maximum grant received was GH¢2,535.00 whiles the minimum was GH¢1,695.00. A total grant of GH¢448,850.00 was disbursed.

He also advocated for votes for Dr. Bawumia and Gifty Ndoma (Parliamentary Candidate) on December 7, 2024 to continue H.E. Nana Akuffo Addo’s good works.
He encouraged beneficiaries to practice all lessons learnt in order to excel for their business and added that additional funds will be given if this first grant is managed well.
Dr. Sarfo, The Zonal Coordinator informed beneficiaries on funds been credited to their E-Zwich account and a mini market organized to facilitate purchase of tools and items needed as their Startup Kit at a lower cost. Further arrangements were also made to convey purchased goods to their destinations.
