In line with the Assembly’s mission to improve the quality of life of it’s people, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Kingsley Osei on the 24th of April 2024 supported one madam Safia Ibrahim a peasant farmer from Teacherkroum to successfully deliver her three boys at the Eujra Government Hospital.
Madam Safia Ibrahim who is already a mother of seven (7) with a recently diagnosed mentally challenged husband visited the Assembly on the 6th of February 2024 requesting for support for her pregnancy. Her ordeal was brought to the attention of the MCE through the Department of Social Welfare who then facilitated the process of extending a helping hand to her.
Hon. Dr. Osei through the Department of Social Welfare referred her to the Ejura Government Hospital with assurance to take up all cost through her pre-natal stage to her delivery and also support after her delivery.
A total cost of a little over Two Thousand Ghana Ceids (GH¢2000.00) was incurred with some of the amount (GH¢1,176.00) provided as financial support to her and her triplet sons.
The Hon. MCE, Dr. Kingsley Osei in a statement made a passionate appeal to the general public to assist the mother and her triplets in order to help alleviate any possible challenges for herself and her new born babies.
