Bridging the Energy Gap in Ejura Sekyedumase: MP and MCE Tour Electrification Projects Across the Municipality

In a series of coordinated working visits in early April 2026, Hon. Muhammad Bawah Braimah, together with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Rafiu Adam Seidu, undertook inspections of ongoing electricity projects in Amenam, Sabonline, and Nkyensie. These visits formed part of a broader strategy to ensure accountability, monitor project execution, and guarantee that development commitments translate into tangible outcomes for the people.
On 8th April 2026, the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive visited Amenam to assess the ongoing electricity project in the community. During the visit, they engaged the Assembly Member, community leaders, and residents to evaluate the progress of work on the ground.

Earlier, on 5th April 2026, a similar inspection was carried out in Sabonline. Accompanied by party stakeholders, the leadership team engaged with the Assembly Member, Abubakari Sadique Hussein, alongside community leaders and residents. The visit allowed for a firsthand assessment of the level of work completed by the contractor and provided clarity on the remaining phases of the project.

On 4th April 2026, upon arrival in the constituency, the Member of Parliament joined the Municipal Chief Executive on a working tour to Nkyensie and its surrounding communities. The visit confirmed that the contractor had successfully completed all installation works, marking a significant milestone in the electrification agenda.
Engagements with residents and community leaders provided valuable insights into the impact of the project and reaffirmed the importance of sustained monitoring. The distribution of streetlight bulbs during the visit further demonstrated a commitment to enhancing public safety and ensuring that development outcomes are both practical and visible.

He further noted that consistent monitoring of projects remains a priority to ensure that contractors deliver quality work within agreed timelines. He assured residents that no community would be left behind, stressing that development must be inclusive, visible, and impactful.

The MCE also reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to transparency and accountability, noting that regular inspections and stakeholder engagements are critical to achieving long-term development goals. He assured the communities that the Assembly would continue to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the timely activation and full utilization of the electricity systems.
Across all three communities, these visits reflect a leadership approach grounded in responsiveness, transparency, and results. By engaging directly with stakeholders and physically inspecting project sites, the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive have demonstrated a hands-on commitment to governance that prioritizes the needs of the people.
These efforts reinforce a clear mission: to ensure that every community within Ejura Sekyedumase benefits fully from life-changing development interventions, with no area left behind.

Reliable electricity enables small businesses to thrive, improves educational outcomes through better study conditions, enhances healthcare delivery, and strengthens overall community security. As such, these projects are not isolated interventions but part of a comprehensive national strategy to drive inclusive and sustainable development across all regions.

The ongoing electrification projects in Amenam, Sabonline, and Nkyensie represent more than infrastructure expansion—they symbolize a deliberate and sustained effort to improve lives, empower communities, and drive equitable development. Through consistent monitoring, stakeholder engagement, and strategic leadership, these initiatives continue to bring Ejura Sekyedumase closer to a future defined by opportunity, connectivity, and progress.
