MCE Joins Nana Ejurahene To Celebrate Akwasidae Festival

On Sunday March 10, 2019, the MCE for Ejura Sekyedumase, Alhaji Mohammed Salisu Bamba led the Minister of State at the office of the Vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Boniface, Khalifatul Akbar, the NPP constituency chairman, Mr Paul Kwaku Duut, the Municipal Coordinating Director Alhaji Mohammed Adam Wunnam Baba Ramadan, the NPP and Tijania community in Ejura joined Nana Ejurahene, Obarima Osei Hwede3 II to celebrate this years AKWASIDAE at the Ejura Palace after a successful Maulid on Saturday evening attended by many dignitaries.

The Akwasidae Festival is a magnificent Ashanti celebration centred on ancestral reverence, remembrance and acknowledgement of past kings and noble feats. It serves as a celebration of the Golden Stool and a cultural vibrancy that brings together the Asantehene, sub-kings and subjects at Manhyia in Kumasi.

The Hon. MCE in his address to the gathering, thanked the Nana Ejurahene, Obarima Osei Hwede3 II for honoring their invitation to the just ended Muslim Maulid festival and gracing the occasion with his presence.
