MCE Distributes Several Nose Mask in Adherence to COVID-19 Directives
As part of measures to ensure a COVID-19 free in Ejura Sekyedumase Municipality, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Alhaji Mohammed Salisu Bamba has distributed over 2000 pieces of nose masks to the Ejura traditional Council, the Police service, the Zongo Chiefs, Taxi drivers, and Market Women.
The MCE however indicated that, the sharing of the nose mask is to complement the already existing measures taken by the Assembly in collaboration with the Health Directorate to reduce the spread of the virus. That is from procurement of PPE’s, distribution of alcohol-based hand sanitizers Veronica buckets and liquid soaps across the municipality and the establishment of the COVID-19 endowment fund.
He explained that wearing the face mask has become necessary and also educated the people to adhere to the mask-wearing directives.
Hon. Bamba appealed to citizens not to share masks with other people and observe other hygiene practices to enable the country to defeat COVID-19.
“We hope, like the Veronica buckets, the nose masks will be put to good use for the safety of our own selves.”
he said
Some of the beneficiaries commended the MCE for his immense support in these trying times.
