ESMA Holds Its Second Ordinary Meeting Of The Second Session Of The Eight Assembly

The Ejura Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly (ESMA) held its Second Ordinary meeting of the Fourth session of the Eight Assembly on Tuesday 31st October, 2023 at the Municipal Assembly Hall.

The MCE, Hon. Dr. Kingsley Osei in his address presented the status of the Municipality to the general house.  It included security, revenue mobilization, education, Health, developmental projects, among others.  As part of his address, he presented the Executive Committee’s report which he said the Municipal Planning Officer and Municipal Budget Analyst will throw more light on them for deliberation and subsequent implementation.  The executive committee’s report covered.

1. Discussion and approval of the 2024 Annual Action plan
2. Discussion and approval of the 2024 Annual Composite Budget
3. Discussion and approval of the 2024 Fee Fixing Resolution
4. Discussion and approval of the Revenue Improvement Action Plan

The Municipal Planning Officer, Mr. Lawrence Wabadua and the Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. Joshua Adjei Boateng, presented the fiscal policy for 2024, highlighted by the MCE in the Executive committee report.  After a very lengthy deliberation, the fiscal policies presented were accepted by the general house for subsequent implementation.
