ESMA Observes Green Ghana Day

With the launch of the 2022 edition of “Green Ghana Day”, with a commitment to planting some twenty million trees this year, as part of Government’s aggressive afforestation and reforestation programme by the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday, 1st March 2022, the Ejura- Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly Observed this Day on the 10th of June 2022.

The climax of the event which was held and the Ejura Prisons Camp saw many officers and inmates participating fully and lively, as it is said “When the Last Tree Dies The Last Man Dies”.

A total number of 140,000 seedlings of various varieties was received and a total of a little over 100,000 was planted successfully as at time of this article.

The Hon. MCE, Dr. Kingsley Osei, hinted on the importance of the project to the municipality and the country as  whole as it goes in a long way to address the recent global climate issues being faced.
