ESMA Holds its Third Executive Committee Meeting

The Executive Committee meeting (EXECO) serves as a platform for debating significant topics affecting the municipality, evaluating the status of ongoing projects, and making strategic decisions that guide the Assembly’s activities. In this context, the Ejura Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly held its third (3rd) EXECO on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Municipal Assembly’s Conference Hall.

The meeting addressed various important issues, including the findings and recommendations from the sub-committees, as well as discussions on the draft 2025 Fee-Fixing Resolution, Annual Action Plan, Composite Budget, and Revenue Improvement Action Plan.

Conveners of the sub-committees, such as Justice & Security, Social Services, Finance & Administration, Development Planning, Works, and Transport, presented their reports and recommendations to the Committee for consideration by the General Assembly for approval or rejection.

In a PowerPoint presentation, the Budget Unit, led by Mr. Bismark Osei Tutu, the Municipal Budget Officer, presented the 2025 Composite Budget, Fee-Fixing Resolution, Annual Action Plan, Revenue Improvement Action Plan, and the 2024 Composite Budget performance to the committee members.

To assist the committee in making informed decisions, the officers were questioned to provide clarifications on their presentations. It was then agreed to submit the documents to the General Assembly for final approval.

Attendees included the Municipal Coordinating Director, Louisa Benon (Mrs.), conveners of the sub-committees, heads of departments and units, members of unit committees, and other key stakeholders.

The meeting was chaired by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Kingsley Osei, who, in his concluding remarks, expressed gratitude for the invaluable contributions and pledged to effectively implement the resolutions reached during the deliberations.
