ESMA Holds End of the Year General Assembly Meeting 22”

The Municipal Assembly held its third ordinary meeting and the last one for the year 2022 on 29th December, 2022 at the Municipal Assembly Hall.

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Dr. Kingsley Osei, in his address presented the Executive Committee report and the status of the Municipality to Honourable Assembly Members.  The areas he touched were Security, Developmental Projects, Water and Sanitation, Road Network, Education, Social Services, Administration, Finance, among others.

On Security, the Hon. MCE said though there were few burglary and armed robber cases which resulted in number of casualties; there was calmness in the Municipality with the people peaceful going about their daily chores.  He said he gives the credit to the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) who had been very supportive in all their endeavors.

On Water and Sanitation, he said very soon the Municipality would be free from the water crises, as the redevelopment of the Ejura Water System had been given to CWSA, also four (4) mechanized boreholes are in construction, in addition to that, ten (10) No. Drilling and Mechanizing boreholes awarded across the Municipality had been completed.

Hon. Dr. Kinsley Osei highlighted that on Administration, the Municipality had passed DPAT V and by extension, the Municipality stands of gaining funding for capital projects, he added that the Assembly had further passed the phase two of the Green Project and that of Safety Net.  It emphasized that there are seven (7) projects under these two programmes alone.
